Privacy policy

What we collect, why, and what you can do about it, in the plainest English a privacy policy allows. Last updated: July 2026.

1. Who we are

Cheap Domains for Sale (“we”, “us”) is a South African domain registration and web hosting provider operating at cheapdomainsforsale.co.za. Our billing and client portal runs at account.cheapdomainsforsale.co.za. For privacy matters, contact [email protected].

2. What we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, phone number and billing address, collected when you register a domain or buy a service. Domain registration rules (ZACR and ICANN) require accurate registrant details.
  • Payment information: processed by our payment gateway (PayFast). We do not store your full card number on our servers.
  • Support conversations: WhatsApp messages, emails and contact form submissions, kept so we have context when you come back.
  • Technical logs: IP addresses and server logs, kept for security and troubleshooting.
  • Website analytics: aggregated visitor statistics to improve the site.

3. Why we collect it

To provide the services you buy (domains must be registered to a real person or company), to bill you, to support you, to meet legal obligations, and to send you service notices like renewal reminders. We only send marketing email if you opted in, and every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.

4. Who we share it with

Only the parties needed to deliver the service: the domain registries and our accredited registrar (for registrations), our payment gateway (for payments), and our infrastructure providers (for hosting). We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

5. How long we keep it

Account and billing records are kept for as long as you have services with us and thereafter as long as tax and company law require. Support conversations are kept for up to three years. You can ask us to delete data we are not legally required to keep.

6. Your rights

7. Cookies

We use cookies needed for the site and client portal to function (like keeping you logged in) and basic analytics cookies. You can block cookies in your browser; the portal may not work without the essential ones.
