Ask your current registrar for the domain’s EPP (authorisation) code. Transferring a .co.za? Skip this step, it does not need one.

The registry emails the address listed on your domain. Click approve. That single click authorises the whole move.

  • Your website. It stays live because your DNS records do not change.
  • Your email. Mail keeps flowing to the same inboxes.
  • Your DNS settings. We copy them across exactly as they are.
  • Your expiry date. Time you already paid for carries over, you lose nothing.

Domain transfer questions, answered honestly

Will my website go offline during a domain transfer?
No. A domain transfer changes which company manages your domain, it does not touch your hosting. Your website and email keep running exactly as they are, because your DNS settings stay the same during the move.
How long does a domain transfer take in South Africa?
A .co.za transfer usually completes within 24 hours once you approve the confirmation email. International extensions like .com can take 5 to 7 days because the global registries enforce a waiting period.
What is an EPP code?
An EPP code (also called an authorisation or transfer code) is a short password that proves you own the domain. You get it from your current registrar, usually in their control panel under domain settings. .co.za transfers do not need one; the confirmation email does that job.
What if the transfer fails?
The most common causes are a locked domain, an expired domain, or a wrong EPP code, all fixable. If a transfer fails, nothing breaks: your domain simply stays where it is. WhatsApp us and we will find the snag and restart it with you.
Can I transfer a .co.za domain?
Yes. A .co.za transfer is actually the easy one: no EPP code needed. You place the transfer order, the registry emails the domain contact for approval, you click accept, and the domain moves to us, usually within a day.
